Obama Is Not Listening

GetEQUAL strongly opposes the potential nomination of Chuck Hagel to become the next Secretary of Defense. Hagel has, time and time again, taken every opportunity to lambast and denigrate lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) Americans, and the Cabinet is no place for this kind of disrespect,” writes the chair GetEQUAL's board. As I have repeatedly warned: the endless power-grabbing machinations of the political parties, especially the Democrats, prove that they care nothing for the gay community, except for your vote. They have continually gay-baited with sensational issues such as gays in the military. This past election cycle, it was same-sex marriage. Now that Obama won reelection, he will do what he wants and not worry about his so-called constituency. They are not concerned with your general well-being or the state of your souls. No political party will save you. They can not legislate the pain away. The only Savior is Our Lord Jesus Christ.

  1. You are the worst of the worse. You spend your life selling your body on camera for money, no telling how many times, which in the opinion of this gay man, makes you no better than a sewer dweller, and then you get saved or see the light, and then with your arrogance you think your experience must be what every other gay man in the world has experienced, so you must speak out about it. Well let me tell you something, I don't want gay porn, I've never done a disgusting gay porn movie. I have a loving partner of 18 years, a great career, a nice home. My life is good, I help people with AIDS, which I guess now you just berate them, and I spend my time helping my community.

So my point? Just because you had a sorry life and made bad decisions, and you were, let's be honest, a whore. You want to punish everyone. And that nonsense about anal satan babies. You don't only need religious guidance, but you need Psychiatric help. Keep your opinions out of my life.

    1. You put your opinions in his life when you read his blog. You don't sound too bright.

If you don't like what he has to say and can't be bothered to read what else he said, don't come back. You took some comments out of context and you sound hateful. T. W.

    2. Thanks for your interest. I do Love my Gay brothers and sisters. Many who have written to me are not happy with their homosexuality; they find it a heavy and burdensome Cross. I speak to those men. I try to help them understand that suffering can also be a gift if we unite that crown of thorns with Our Lord. Many blessings to you in the New Year.

    3. While I agree that we put our opinions in one another's spheres within this present reality, I do not agree that doing so or refusing to ignore things with which we don't agree isn't bright.

Those on the Right are happy to insist that it is their religious right to inject their views everywhere -- even to, for example, my children. When a Creationist (called by whatever name) tries to argue that Creationism (ID) should be taught in the school that my kids attend, they are arguing that their religious view be presented AS IF it were a viable scientific theory. It is not, it is religion, but they want it presented as if it were. They want to, directly, influence my CHILDREN.

This? This is adults. This is a blog. Discussion that takes place here is among adults, because believe me, the kids don't care about any of this, even the religious ones -- except for a few poor souls. People SHOULD read things they don't agree with. I often read what Conservatives say, religious or otherwise -- and I often talk to them. That is a normal, healthy, adult way of handling things.

Shutting out what differs completely as an adult - not so much.

  2. I'm sorry you have been so damaged.

No matter how deluded your thinking now, you're right in one respect: you deserve better. You are a human being, a person, not a thing to be objectified and exploited by others.

First by the unscrupulous in the Porn industry, now by Homophobic religion.

You are worthwhile in your own right. From the sound of it, you've done some stupid and degrading things, but haven't been malicious, or set out to really hurt others, ignoring safe words. Idiotic, yes, but nothing actually bad. The only one hurt is yourself - but you can heal from that.

If I may give you a word of advice, one I give to all rape victims - you cannot be humiliated without giving your consent. You may be scourged, tortured, raped, but to be humiliated by that requires your assent. You don't have to give it, but even if you do, you can withdraw it at any time.

It's OK to be Gay, by the way. Just don't break others hearts, nor devalue yourself.

Me, I'm straight, not only that but really, really, REALLY square, prim, prudish, "no sex (including kissing) outside marriage", never smoked a joint or done any other drug.

But I'm not a hypocrite, nor a pharisee. I'm no better than you, just different.

You may want to speak with Evangelical professor of psychology Warren Throckmorton, he might be able to help you heal. The path you're on now isn't a healthy one. Don't deny your own identity, nor think that you're not a worthy human being in your own right, You *are* a child of God, as are other Gays, and straights too.

    1. Thanks for the post. For many many years I locked my “identity” in with the gay culture. But I am not a sexual impulse. I refuse to let that define who I am. I do not deny that I have homosexual feelings, but that is only a very small part of my entire make-up. It's something I deal with. I have said this ad nauseam, but here I go again: it is a Cross that Our Lord gave me. Some people have other sufferings they must deal with; this is mine. When I approach it that way, it does not take me over. I control it. As to what some have written: I am not brain-washed or unbalanced. I tried almost every religion out there. The one that made me the happiest and most fulfilled is the Love of Jesus.
